American Fork Trash Schedule

Sign Up for Trash Collection

If you are new in American Fork City or if you have just bought a new property there, you will need to sign up for trash service. You need to visit the administration office located at 51 E. Main. They will provide you a form, and you have to fill it out.

The only thing that you need to sign up is closing papers on your property to verify that you are a new property owner in the city. Moreover, you have to leave an initial deposit, which is $150 for a house and $200 for a store or office. If you are living on rent, then you cannot sign up for trash service because sign-up accounts only need to be in the property owner’s name.

Residential Trash Collection Guideline

Residential trash pickup service will be provided once a week, so place your carts outside by 7 AM on your trash collection day to ensure your trash collection. Trash collection will be done only according to the map route.

Moreover, place your carts outside in a way that their lids will face the front of the street. Place your carts at the curb by keeping a distance of 4 feet from all other carts and almost 8 feet from other objects such as mailboxes, poles, etc. Once your trash gets collected, remove your carts as soon as possible.

Recycling Collection in American Fork

Republic Services will provide recycling service once every two weeks to American Fork citizens along with residential trash pickup. So place your recyclable material outside by 7 AM on your collection day in the recycling cart.

Acceptable recycling materials include cardboards, paper, aluminum, plastic bottles, plastic containers, steel tins, and separate milk cartons. So only put these items in recycling carts.

American Fork City is providing the facility of an annual dump pass to the residents. The city is providing this facility free of cost.
