Why
Mirrors have a different chemical composition and melting point than bottles and jars, plus a reflective coating. Even a small piece contaminates a glass load.
How to dispose of mirrors
- Donate intact mirrors
- Broken mirrors: wrap in newspaper, tape, label 'broken glass', and trash
- Never put any mirror glass in recycling
