Mountain View Garbage Collection
Place your carts in a way that the lid opens towards the front of the street by 7 AM on your collection day. Do not block sidewalks while placing your cart. If there is no space on your street to place your cart due to parked cars, place your cart at the top of the curb. Your cart must be away from all obstacles so that a collection truck can easily collect your trash.
Do not leave your cart on water and gas lines that are located in the landscape. Keep a distance of 2 feet from water and gas lines while placing carts. Once your trash is collected, remove the cart as soon as possible. Put all your residential trash into a bag and then put that bag into the trash cart to prevent litter.
Missed Trash Collection
Sometimes your trash cart may be missed during collection due to various reasons. It could be a driver mistake or a problem with the collection truck that leads to missed trash collection. If you experience this situation, stay calm because Recology has a solution for this problem.
You can call 650-967-3034 or email at [email protected] to report missed trash collection. If a driver is on route and you report missed trash collection, then your trash will be collected on the same day of your collection. Otherwise, the sanitation department will pick up your trash on the next business day.
