Redlands Trash Schedule

Their aim is to reduce pollution, promote recycling, and maintain sanitary living conditions. They require residents’ help to sort waste correctly, reduce waste generation, and ensure timely disposal. Residents are required to follow all trash-related rules and regulations when disposing of their trash daily.

Redlands Trash Schedule

Residents are required to place all refuse and trash material at the curbside by 6 AM on trash collection day according to the given schedule. Your trash will be collected anytime between 6 AM and 2:30 PM. Do not delay placing your trash cart at the curbside, as it will not get collected if you are late. Similarly, when you notice that your trash cart has been emptied, roll it back as soon as possible, by 7 PM on the same collection day.

There are specific rules that residents must follow when placing their cart at the curbside. For instance, the Solid Waste Department of Redlands requires trash carts to be placed in visible and clear locations so that automatic trash collection trucks can easily collect them. Additionally, leave a clearance of approximately 3 feet on all sides of your trash cart. Do not block sidewalks while placing your cart.

It is also recommended that residents of Redlands pack all regular trash material into plastic bags before putting it into trash carts. This will reduce the chances of spillage. Do not overfill your trash cart; only closed-lid carts should be placed at the curbside. If trash bags are coming out of the cart and the lid is not closed, the cart will not be collected. Redlands Recycling Schedule

The Solid Waste Division provides blue and green lid recycling carts to the residents of Redlands so that they can place their recycling trash at the curbside on designated days. Recycling services are provided every week. Residents must first identify their recycling service day and then place their recycling carts at the curbside by 6 AM on the scheduled day.

Place your recycling cart in a clear and clean location with closed lids. If trash is coming out of the cart, it will not be collected. Only clean, empty, and dry materials should be placed into your recycling cart. According to the laws of the City of Redlands, acceptable recycling materials include:

  • Paper: Newspapers, magazines, catalogs, junk mail, office paper, phone books, gift wrap, and soft-covered books.
  • Containers: Waxed containers, cardboard, bottles and jars, steel/tin cans, aluminum cans, foil, and plastics numbered 1 to 7.

Do not place irrelevant materials in your recycling cart. All recycling materials should be placed loosely in the cart; plastic bags and styrofoam are not allowed as they disrupt the recycling process. Remove your cart promptly after it is collected, preferably by the evening of the collection day.
