Garbage Collection Guidelines
FCC Environmental provides regular trash collection services twice a week as part of the Palm Coast trash schedule. To avail yourself of the service, residents must purchase trash containers. Each container should be between 10 and 35 gallons in size. Place all household garbage in plastic bags before putting them into the trash container, and ensure the container is curbside by 6 AM on your scheduled collection day.
When placing trash containers, follow these guidelines:
- Place the container in an obstacle-free area, away from poles, mailboxes, and parked cars.
- Do not place containers on sidewalks.
- Position the container at the edge of your property, with the lid closed.
Leave 3 feet of clearance on both sides of your trash container. Service day #1 will be for regular garbage only, while service day #2 will include bulk trash and regular garbage. It is the resident’s responsibility to retrieve the container as soon as possible after collection, in line with the Palm Coast trash schedule.
Recycling Guidelines
Single-stream recycling services are provided once a week as part of the Palm Coast trash schedule. FCC Environmental will collect all recyclable materials and send them to GEL Recycling, a leader in the waste industry. Place your recycling container curbside by 6 AM on your collection day.
Be careful when preparing recycling for pickup:
- Only clean, empty, and dry materials should be placed in the recycling container to prevent litter and spillage.
- Keep recyclable materials separate from non-recyclable items, and place the cart at least 3 feet away from other carts.
- Ensure the recycling cart lid is closed.
Acceptable recycling materials include plastic bottles, containers, paper, newspapers, mixed paper, flattened cardboard, glass bottles (without lids), steel jars, aluminum cans, and food boxes. Do not place construction debris, bulk waste, or yard waste in the recycling cart, as it will not be collected according to the Palm Coast trash schedule.
Yard Waste Pickup
Yard waste, including tree branches, leaves, grass clippings, and other lawn materials, will be collected on Wednesdays each week as part of the Palm Coast trash schedule. Residents are responsible for gathering and placing yard waste curbside by 6 AM on collection Wednesday. The standard yard waste limit per week is 2 cubic yards. If you have more yard waste, you will need to arrange direct payment to the hauler for collection.
Bulk Trash Collections
FCC Environmental collects bulk trash on the second collection day of the week, according to the Palm Coast trash schedule. Bulk trash includes items such as furniture, mattresses, TVs, dishwashers, and other home appliances. Only 3 cubic yards of bulk trash will be collected per week. If you exceed this amount, you will need to arrange for the hauler to collect the excess.
