Why
Gift tissue is made from already-recycled fiber that is too degraded to recycle again. A few programs accept it, but most do not.
How to dispose of tissue paper
- Reuse it — tissue paper survives many gift cycles
- Compost it if it is plain and uncoated
- Otherwise trash it; glittered tissue is always trash
Greener option
Smooth and fold it after unwrapping; it stores flat forever.
