Roll your trash cart to the curbside by 7 AM on your designated day. Place your cart in a visible location that is easily accessible for trash collection trucks. Put all trash into the cart provided by the city’s Waste Management Department. Position the cart so that its lid will open toward the front of the city. The weight of the container must not exceed 200 pounds. Leave a distance of 4 feet on both sides of the cart.

Report Missed Collection

If your trash is missed during collection for any reason, there’s no need to worry because Woodland provides a solution for all problems related to trash service. If you experience a missed collection, call the Waste Management Department at 1-800-800-5804 to report it.

You can also send an email, including your name, complete address, street number, village name, and contact number, to reschedule your trash collection. Email them between 8 AM and 5 PM from Monday to Friday, and your trash collection will be scheduled for Monday. The email address of the Waste Management Department is [email protected].

Place all trash material properly at curbside because if you do not follow instructions, the city’s Waste Management Department will issue you a green tag. This tag is a violation tag, and once you receive it, you must correct the violations before setting your trash at curbside for the next collection.

The Woodlands Recycling Collection Schedule

Recycling service will be provided once every two weeks with your regular trash collection. Use a 96-gallon recycling cart with a yellow lid to place all recyclable materials. Place only acceptable materials into the recycling cart, and do not put any contaminants into it. Do not wrap recycling material in plastic bags because these bags could disrupt the recycling process.

Acceptable recycling materials include aluminum, tin, or steel cans, milk, juice, and soup cartons, cardboard, glass bottles and jars, paper, and plastic containers with numbers 1 to 5. Place only empty, clean, and dry food containers into recycling carts. Similarly, only clean paper is acceptable. Do not put any greasy materials into recycling carts.

Bulk Collection

Bulk trash is material that cannot fit into a normal trash cart. If your bulk material is in good condition, consider donating these materials instead of sending them to the landfill. In Woodland, there are certain landfill stations that offer convenient pickup service for bulk trash. The city will provide these services free of cost. Some of these bulk disposal centers are listed below:
